Changes for G.I. Bill beneficiaries
Guam - Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo announced the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has formally issued an administrative policy change regarding the monthly housing allowance for individuals on Guam and in the U.S. territories who receive post-9/11 G.I. Bill benefits. The change increases the housing allowance for veterans on Guam from $1,300 a month for housing expenses, to $2,400.
Bordallo says this revision provides our veterans with additional funds to appropriately offset their housing expenses, and brings parity with other veterans using these benefits in the mainland.
