Guam - A discrimination lawsuit has been filed against Black Construction as a former employee alleges he was terminated because of his religious beliefs. Rolando Canoy worked for Black Construction for about six months as a foreman carpenter.  He alleges he was harassed and compelled to dishonor his Catholic beliefs by attending sessions at Iglesia Ni Cristo Church, at the request of his immediate supervisor.

The lawsuit alleges that Canoy and his wife attended and co-workers told him he needed to continue attending in order to remain in good standing at the company.  When he stopped going because of his religious beliefs, Canoy alleges he was harassed and wrongfully accused of work errors and later terminated.
