Guam - KUAM News has confirmed with Staywell that it has filed a protest to the Government of Guam's Fiscal Year 2013 health insurance contract negotiations. This follows this week's protest filed by Calvo's Selectcare and Takecare Insurance's protest filed earlier this month.

Takecare in early august alleges the Department of Administration and the health insurance negotiating team acted in such a way to discriminate against the company.  According to the protest the company was invited to negotiations but then later uninvited.

Meanwhile Selectcare in its protest alleged Takecare along with "Offeror #3" were given an opportunity to modify their proposal after the request for proposal had been closed. Selectcare says they only knew this occurred, after Takecare placed their protest online.

KUAM will be interviewing Staywell's Francis Santos later this afternoon, to hear their reasons for filing their appeal. GovGuam's current contract for health insurance expires on September 30.
