UOG surveys Hagatna's appeal
Guam - The University of Guam's Pacific Center for Economic Initiatives released the findings of its survey on "Factors for Attracting Guam Residents to Downtown Hagatna." The survey was conducted from March to June of this year to help determine what would attract local residents, military personnel and their dependents and tourists to visit the downtown Hagatna area.
The main findings was that people did not visit downtown Hagatna frequently because there is 'nothing to do or no reason to go' and because it is 'too far away,'" ,the study shows that visits to downtown Hagatna would increase if there were more retail stores, sit-down restaurants, parks and entertainment venues/theaters. 400 individuals were surveyed.
