Guam - The military buildup and the China Visa Waiver Program are two important issues Governor Eddie Calvo says he is ready to discuss with official in Washington, DC. The island's chief executive departed to the nation's capital this morning where he is scheduled to meet with deputy undersecretary of defense for installations and environment Dorothy Robyn, undersecretary of the navy Robert Work as well as with homeland security officials.

Calvo also says he will also attend the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida. "I look forward to a very positive event in our convention and I am looking forward to a Romney/Ryan ticket that will change the direction of this nation. We are right now moving at a trillion dollar deficits that have occurred as a result of the economic measures of President Obama and its important that we reverse this its important the US does not lose its leadership role in the world and its important the US does not put itself in a position with current leadership that will have dramatic and drastic effects to future generations of Americans and Guamaninans."

Calvo is expected to return in time for the Primary Election.
