Guam - It's looking good for the Department of Education. According to Governor Eddie Calvo's education advisor Vince Leon Guerrero, USDOE has called for a conference call this week to get more information in support of the request sent last month to extend the September 30 deadline to obligate $60 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act money.

Leon Guerrero says this is a step in the right direction to getting our requested extension. Officials from the Department of Education and Bureau of Budget Management and Research will also be present.
