Guam - Working to reduce power rates by looking for more ways to develop energy efficient technology, the Guam Power Authority along with the Pacific Partnership Association is holding a demand site management workshop at the Ramada Inn this week. GPA spokesperson Art Perez says utility representatives from the CNMI, Yap, Palau, the FSM and the Marshall Islands are on island sharing and developing various practices to reduce impacts of high power bills.

"It's all part of sustainability for the island," he said. "The better we use it and more efficiently we use is the less money we send off island in terms of fuel."

Perez says GPA has employees in the engineering and customer service field participating, and each participant will go back and train the rest of the employees.
