Klitzkie favors Bucks for Busses

Guam - A bill that would take salary increments from senators to give to the Department of Public Works for school busses garners the support from a former lawmaker who says the salary increase was illegal in the first place. A public hearing is being held tonight on Senator Chris Duenas's "Bucks for Busses" bill.
Robert Klitzkie submitted his testimony over the weekend "If Rory Respicio's interpretation of the law is correct that is the interpretation that provides for the current salary increase, these senators should only be paid 50-thousand dollars back in most of the 27th, the 28th, etc., therefore they were overpaid. But if they do away with the salary increase now it distracts attention from the overpayment," he said.
Klitzkie cites that Bill 491 was introduced on July 25 and for every day it has yet to be passed into law, each senator is pocketing an additional $27 per day and Speaker Judi Won Pat an additional $47 per day.
