Guam - Today marked the first day on the job for Guam Memorial Hospital administrator Joseph Verga, who arrived on island last week.  Verga tells KUAM news he met with hospital management and department heads today and toured some areas of the facility today.  He says he received a warm welcome and the staff appears to be positive and enthusiastic about the new leadership. 

Verga will continue meeting with employees and touring the hospital on Tuesday. He has said he intends to conduct a top down review of GMH to ensure efficiency and accountability.  On Thursday he will be formally introduced during the board of trustees meeting.
