Guam - The new administrator for the Guam Memorial Hospital will begin his rounds on Monday. Joseph Verga arrived on island last week and will spend his first day on the job meeting as many of the staff as he can.  Verga tells KUAM News he is extremely excited about the new challenge and wants island residents to know that there will be major changes at the hospital.

The new CEO had been working for a number of years in Canada and is also a consultant for the Joint Commission. Verga intends to conduct a top down review of the operations at GMH to ensure efficiency and accountability.
