Guam - There's good news if you're still waiting for tax refunds. According to Governor Eddie Calvo a portion of the recently received $13 million in child tax credit reimbursements will go toward paying past due refunds.
"This is something that has been planned for a long time once we received the funds the apportionment will be about ten million dollars would go for the tax refunds and there's a little bit over two million dollars that will be going for payments out on the rebates so again this is something that's been the hallmarks of our administration," he said.
About $14.5 million in total should be distributed in tax refunds with $10 million from the ACTC and $4.5 million from rebates paid by Calvo's Selectcare. The governor adds checks should be in the mail in the next week or so.
