Guam - Thousands of college students headed back to school for the start of the fall 2012 semester at the University of Guam and the Guam Community College. According to GCC's professor Lisa Baza-Cruz, learning is lifelong endeavor and she applauds those who had the courage to pursue higher educations. To date, enrollment at GCC is a little over 2,500 for this semester.

"The first day of classes is exciting it's a day filled with anticipation for not only the students, but the whole GCC community; it's a fun day - every student in our class we view them as being dynamic to the GCC experience," she said.

Baza-Cruz says students should carefully read and review class syllabi to ensure they know what expectations are. Late registration for GCC ends August 23.
