Non-profit advocates animals on Guam

Guam - The Mayors Council of Guam welcomes Fur-Ever Kinda Love into their villages to help fight a growing epidemic affecting our furry friends. The non-profit advocates animals on Guam by trying to reduce the homeless population by encouraging owners to spay and neuter their pets as well as provide free rabies shots.
President Carol Laughlin, "That's the unfortunate reality that we have here on Guam if every household had eight pets dogs or cats there would still not be enough homes for all the animals here on Guam so you can see that we have a serious problem that needs to be addressed, and that's what we're here for."
The non-profit organization is set to Celebrate National Homeless Animal Day on Saturday, August 18 at 6pm at the old Ben Franklin store. Instead of a candlelight vigil, a decorative light for the estimated 8 to 10,000 animals lost in 2011 from homelessness will be lit.
