Guam - A 41-year-old man accused of shooting an airman in Macheche, Dededo last month is requesting to be released from prison to a third-party custodian. Gordon Wright faces charges of attempted murder after he allegedly shot Airman Daniel Crane in the shoulder on Kayen Komplimento Street.

Wright's attorney, David Lujan, requested his client be released since he has no criminal record and is not a danger to the community. However the prosecution argued not only is the victim still getting treatment in Hawaii, but fears Wright may "finish what he started" by going after 'Fritz' - his intended target. Judge James Canto denied the motion for release, but lowered the bail amount from $1 million to $500,000 cash.

Wright will be arraigned tomorrow afternoon.
