Guam – The war on spice continues. Vice Speaker BJ Cruz sent letters the chief's of the Guam Police Department and Guam Customs and Quarantine asking the agencies continue proactive efforts to enforce the current federal and local law that bans the substance. It was in July, KUAM reported the Drug Enforcement Agency on Guam has several ongoing investigations into local businesses caught selling the synthetic cannabinoid. Guam Customs also seized more than one thousand grams of spice in July 2011. The feds note individuals smoke the substance to obtain a marijuana-like high. DEA reports dozens of variations of spice are illegal.
