Guam - With only a week left before the start of classes for the island's public schools, private schools kicked-off their school year this week. it was fun, games, and performances today at Academy of Our Lady of Guam as the home of cougars celebrated the end of the first week of school.

AOLG development director Joni Cepeda told KUAM News, "For the rest of the year .it's going to be another great fantastic year here at the Academy, and we're excited because at the end of September we're going to be opening our STAR Wing - our Science, Technology And Resource Wing - for the ladies to help them enhance their studies in math and sciences as well as a new library."

Cepeda says there are 420 students enrolled at the all-girl school.
