Guam - Several families are still recovering from the flood damage they received during this week's heavy rainfall. Barrigada resident Maria San Nicolas is among the 28 families that sought help from the American Red Cross, as the water flowed into her home about ankle-high.

"The couches and the carpet in the room, the rug in the room is all wet, now the carpet smells like a dead animal and we're trying to fix that too, my daughter tried her best to suck the water out from the rug," she explained. According to the American Red Cross Guam Chapter, 27 families were given clean up kits and detergent to wash their clothes. One family was provided temporary lodging.
