Guam - At the Guam Legislature, island senators met with visiting South Carolina congressman Joe Wilson and Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo asking their questions on a list of concerns including the military realignment, Obamacare, veterans affairs and the China Visa Waiver Program.

Both Majority Leader Rory Respicio and Minority Leader Frank Blas Jr. felt the meeting went well. The former stated, "And this meeting today clarified that the reason for this buildup pause as we all know is that DOD has yet to submit that master plan and I was happy to hear that Congresswoman Bordallo and Congressman Wilson reiterate that the buildup is going to happen pending the submission of that plan and they're still moving forward someway somehow."

Blas added, "I had to agree with a lot of things, mostly with everything he said in regards to...the concerns with the military buildup that was obviously being hold up in the Senate. He left I'm sure from this meeting with a lot of good information that he would be following up and obviously I to will be following up based on more or less of this conversation."

Congresswoman Bordallo meanwhile said here at home, leaders need to continue the 'One Guam' approach in contributing to moving the buildup forward not referring to anyone specifically but about some groups outside the legislature who had opposed the buildup early on.
