Guam - The Guahan Academy Charter School's status is at a standstill. According to project director Donna Dwiggins, their budget request of $3 million has yet to make it the Legislature for review.

According to Speaker Judi Won Pat's office, the budget must be approved from the Guam Education Board first. But, as we've been reporting, the GEB failed to make quorum last week and canceled their meeting this week also due to lack of quorum.

Dwiggins hopes the charter school can open doors October 1, possibly in empty classrooms at the CoreTech facility in Tiyan, which currently houses Untalan Middle School.
