Sailor accused of robbery released from jail

A motion was filed in the Superior Court to have Navy Sailor Michael Anthony Mayers released on his personal recognizance.

Guam - A motion was filed in the Superior Court to have Navy Sailor Michael Anthony Mayers released on his personal recognizance. Mayers along with Justin Daniel Miska are behind bars on $100,000 cash bail.

The two allegedly robbed a patron at the liberation casino and the Hanna Shiatsu Massage at gunpoint, as well as attempted to rob the best massage. The two told police they did the robbery as a joke.

Mayers will find out if his release is granted on August 14.
