Guam - The Society for Human Resources Management met this morning where a panel of experts from the health insurance industry was present including Rev & Tax's Art Ilagan, and Public Health's Jim Gillam, TakeCare was not present but was invited.

SHRM president Grace Donaldson says HR professionals wanted more information on understanding the Patient Affordability Care Act (aka, "Obamacare") as well as information on the distribution of medical loss ratio rebates. Employers wanted to know how to deal with rebates such as how they are supposed to distribute, do they give a discount, and what percentage will go to employees.

"We're here to provide the nuts and bolts information to the employers because at the end of the day regardless whether or not which president is in place next year, the insurance companies are stating that the law will stay in place, there will be some revisions, so the employers need to know what they need to do to implement this law," she said.
