Guam - A Level III Sex Offender was sentenced to 10 years behind bars for sexually molesting a female tourist multiple times back in April. Henry Chinel was convicted on both counts of 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct as a 2nd degree felony and 4th degree criminal sexual conduct as a 3rd degree felony. The incident occurred at a beach while Chinel was working for the Star Sands Resort.

Attorney General Leonardo Rapadas states the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office of Guam was able to assist in bringing the victim back from her country to testify against Chinel. He states, "The cooperation between this Office and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office - or any other Consulate Office on Guam for that matter- is essential and vital to both the people of Guam and the quality of environment for our tourists. This case makes it clear that even if your victim lives off-island, we are still going to prosecute you and hold you accountable for the crime."
