Macheche shooter held on $1M bail

As police continue to investigate what prompted a shooting in Macheche last weekend, the gunman, 31-year-old Gordon Wright, is being held on $1 million cash bail.

Guam - As police continue to investigate what prompted a shooting in Macheche last weekend, the gunman, 31-year-old Gordon Wright, is being held on $1 million cash bail. According to court documents, Airman Daniel Crane was sitting inside his vehicle on Kayen Komplimento Street when Wright pulled up beside in a gray pickup truck and asked, "Is Fritz home?"

Documents add when crane responded, "Yes," Wright allegedly shot him. Police reports indicate the single shot fired went through the front passenger window and struck crane in the upper right arm then exited through the front driver's side door. Wright lived in the home next door to where crane was found lying in a pool of blood.

Crane was able to identify the person who shot him during a photo lineup. Wright will return to court for preliminary hearing on August 14.
