GPD still investigating bizarre shooting
by Nick Delgado
Guam - It was almost two months ago 36-year-old Michael Castro was shot in the face and dropped off by an unknown individual to the Guam Memorial Hospital. Castro had to undergo surgery and spent weeks in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit recovering.
Guam Police Department spokesperson Sergeant Mike Aguon says criminal investigators are still unsure where the shooting happened, and who did it. "We have the same amount of people to interview and have been interviewed, we are hoping something will develop and move us forward past where we are at now in the investigative stage, we have no leads as to who the suspect or suspects might be," he said.
Investigators have not released information about the vehicle that dropped Castro to the hospital, but they did locate it and take it to GPD's Crime Lab. Police are now waiting to also speak with Castro for the first time. Anyone with information is asked to contact Guam Crimestoppers at 477-HELP (4357).
