Guam - A change of command ceremony was held today as Captain Jeff Plummer relieved Captain Kevin Haws as commanding officer of U.S. Naval Hospital Guam. The latter said, "I thank the vice admiral of surgeon general of the counsel court chiefs for making the right selection in bringing Jeff up to be the new CO, so Lisa, Caroline and Jessica along with Jeff are going to be perfect for Guam. From the bottom of my heart, my very best wishes to each of you for a great tour."

Haws retires from the Navy after serving 34 years both as an enlisted sailor and a commissioned officer. Plummer meanwhile reports to the territory after serving as executive officer of Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton.
