Guam - The Public Utilities Commission approved the Guam Power Authority's petition to execute a ten-year utilities service agreement with the U.S. Navy. The new contract replaces a 20-year old agreement that expired last month. The Navy is GPA's largest customer.

GPA notes that it supplies over 360 gigawatt hours of energy to the military on Guam, equivalent to approximately $70 million in annual revenues for the utility agency. Over the new decade-long contract term, the value of the contract has the potential to exceed $700 million.
