Guam - Teaming up to clean up, the Republican senatorial and congressional candidates announced this morning that for the next two years, win or lose, that they will give back to the community in support of sports and sportsmanship.

The candidates will adopt the island schools' football and soccer fields beginning this weekend as an example of their advocacy and commitment to island schoolchildren, healthy lifestyles and sportsmanship.

Senatorial candidate Brant McCreadie proffered the idea and says it has nothing to do with personal recognition. He said, "Rather recognizing the fact that we have to answer the call of the community, our superintendent and our governor so rather than challenging the democrats, I invite them to work with us in making this goal a reality."

The GOP candidates will be begin its cleanup by working on the Simon Sanchez High School in Yigo on Saturday, August 4 beginning at 9am.
