Guam - Police Captain Mark Charfauros has been in and out of the headlines for one reason or another, whether he was the subject of an investigation or arrested. But this time he's in the headlines because he's been assigned an important responsibility: to head up Guam Crimestoppers.

"Basically to oversee the entire program and see what can be done to have a more aggressive more active crime stoppers program and getting the community and island media more involved in this worthwhile program," he explained.

His assignment is on top of his recent detail to help out at the Department of Corrections. He defends the public should not have a problem trusting him and that in the next few weeks you will start to see a more active Crimestoppers program.
