GEC to give update on bingo initiative soon

Guam - The Guam Election Commission expects to give an update to the for-profit bingo initiative's proponents on or before August 6. Over 7,000 signatures have been looked over with close to 400,000 verified as of Monday evening.

The GEC was hoping to finish going through signatures by today. The Guam Japan Friendship Village is hoping to get the initiative on the ballot to allow for-profit bingo operations only at the former Guam Greyhound lot.
