Hospital negligence trial set for next year
A case filed against the Guam Memorial Hospital alleging gross negligence by physicians and staff will go to trial next July.
Guam - A case filed against the Guam Memorial Hospital alleging gross negligence by physicians and staff will go to trial next July. A scheduling conference was held in the Superior Court of Guam this morning, as the family of 23-year-old Tallia Montogmery is suing GMH.
The young lady died after a GMH doctors allegedly improperly diagnosed her, gave her the wrong medication and then overdosed her with morphine. The family blames inadequate and improper patient care checks, controls and record keeping as well as excess fluid administration for Montgomery's death.
Trial has been set for July 17, 2013.
