Providence International Christian Academy will be allowed to operate in Tamuning until next year.
Guam - Providence International Christian Academy will be allowed to operate in Tamuning until next year. During this afternoon's Guam Land Use Commission meeting, members granted a 10-month conditional use permit to PICA that would end June 15, 2013.
According to GLUC chairman Jay Lather, the Commission saw it as the appropriate thing to do to allow the school to continue operating considering, as to not punish the students who are still in session.
He adds by next year, PICA will have to move out and no other schools will be allowed to be built or setup in that Tamuning area. The GLUC meanwhile will begin a planning process in creating a master plan that would indicate which buildings are for medical uses from those of residential uses.
