Guam - After waiting more than two months, Guam Memorial Hospital administrator Joseph Verga can finally begin making preparations to come to the island to begin his new job.  On Wednesday afternoon Governor Eddie Calvo signed the contract.

There were significant delays with officials signing-off on the agreement that was reached between Verga and the GMH Board of Trustees. The Attorney General's Office sent the contract back to the hospital to make revisions to comply with the law.

Verga, who is currently in Canada, was waiting on the governor's signature on his contract.  He says he doesn't think he'll need much time to gather his things and make arrangements to come to Guam.
