'Max Havoc' payment made to GEDA
Guam - The Guam Economic Development Authority has received its first payment from John Laing and the Guam Motion Picture Company relative to a settlement agreement for the film "Max Havoc: Curse of the Dragon", which was shot on Guam. According to GEDA administrator Karl Pangelinan, a substantial payment was made for 200 thousand dollars, 50 thousand less than what was supposed to be paid by June 30.
"Everything that they're doing, they're doing a good job of keeping us dialed in on their progress and if there are any issues or hiccups in regards to making the payments, we're notified ahead of time," he said.
He adds an additional request was made to pay the $50,000 along with the $100,000 remaining balance by the second September 30 deadline. Meanwhile, the board further discussed the Guam Museum project by recommending hiring an archeological firm before going out to bid for construction.
