Guam - With over seven months passed since Guam was granted parole status for Russian visitors, the status still remains unknown for China. And during this morning's Rotary Club of Guam sunrise meeting, immigration lawyer Nelson Xu discussed more details about the visa waiver program, namely misconceptions and other visa options available for Guam and Chinese nationals.

And while Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo had indicated to Xu that parole status for china would happen in 2010, he still holds out hope that it will come soon. "But I do believe that since the Russians have received the parole status, I think that is a positive sign that the Chinese will hopefully get the parole status in the near future," she said.

And along with pushing for Chinese tourism and short-term business through parole status, Xu suggests other visa options relative to foreign nationals investing in productive labor in Guam.
