Guam - It's been almost one month and there's still no sign of two relics that were stolen from the Saint Fidelis Friary Chapel altar in Sinajana. Father Eric Forbes says the items have not been returned and no one has provided any sort of information about their whereabouts.

The reliquaries do not have any monetary value but are sacred and have been in the friary's possession for more than 50 years.  One of the reliquaries contains a splinter of the actual cross that Jesus was crucified on while the other contained a bone fragment of a saint.

Fr. Eric says he believes whoever stole the relics knows that they can't be sold locally.  He is still hopeful that the sacred items will be returned to the church.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the friary at 472-6339.
