Guam - Liberation Day Parade patrons can give themselves a pat on the back. According to Department of Parks & Recreations director Pete Calvo, the parade site was clean as of Sunday.
In the past, it could take up to a week following the parade to clean remaining trash. Calvo says this is in large part due to DPR's new Parade Permitting Policy, which required permits for slots from Adelup to Paseo Park as well as a refundable $75 cleaning deposit fee.
Paradegoers will receive their cleaning deposit on Wednesday if DPR has signed off on their space. For more information, call 475-6296/97.
