Guam - It wasn't just stolen vehicles and parts that were found when police officers executed a search warrant at a home along Swamp Road in Dededo Friday morning, they also found abused animals. According a media release from Guam Animals in Need (GAIN) a dog was found caked in red mud and imprisoned in a four foot by six foot cage. The dog had no food and water. GPD called GAIN to help. Another dog was also found caked in mud and tied to a stump at the edge of the boonies located at the back of the house. GAIN was called to help because the Department of Agriculture was closed due to it being a government of Guam holiday. Aside from the two dogs, a cat and her kitten were also picked up by GAIN and transported to their shelter in Yigo. "It breaks my heart when I see animals treated like this," said Shelter Manager Bambi Leone.
