Tax conference underway at Latte of Freedom
Guam - Nearly two dozen tax officials from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service along with those in the U.S. territories participated in the second day of the All-Islands Tax Administrator Association Conference this morning at the Latte of Freedom.
According to Rev & Tax director John Camacho, it was the first time Guam hosted the conference in nearly a decade and allows officials to discuss changes, developments and implementation of the U.S. tax laws. "We get together and we share tax ideas, we share our problems, we look at the changes in the law and we actually share a lot of things of what is happening in our territory," he said.
Today officials discussed the Internal Revenue Code along mandates relative to the Affordable Care Act. The conference concludes Thursday.
