Guam - A notice of violation is in the works for the owner of the illegal dump in Yigo that resulted in a deep seated fire in June. According to Guam Environmental Protection Agency spokesperson Tammy Jo Anderson Taft, GEPA has a strong case.

"Anytime you issue something like that you want to make sure it's done well that it has all the information in it because if it does come down to further legal proceedings you want to make sure it can hold up in court," she said.

Responders had a difficult time putting out the fire as it was located along a steep cliff. The illegal dump is located between Joseph Taitano's illegal dump and Route 15 or the Back Road to Andersen Air Force Base. GEPA continues to monitor both sites. GEPA has yet to release the name of the Yigo dump owner.
