Uniform Drive benefits foster kids

Guam - The Uniform Drive is back for its second year. According to First Lady Christine Calvo, the Uniform Drive is part of the Rigalu Foundation (Chamorro for "gift") to benefit foster children.
Last year, over 100 schoolaged foster children needed school uniforms, and Calvo asks that the community come forward and support the drive. Calvo said, "There's always new children who enter the foster care system, the Uniform Drive does not just stop before school starts. As we receive more children and children outgrow their uniforms, the Uniform Drive is there for the time when the children need it."
Calvo says foster children will receive uniform vouchers of $125, which will purchase three sets of school uniforms. To make a monetary donation, contact 475-9476 or e-mail [email protected]. Donation boxes are also available at all Pay-Less Supermarkets.
