Guam - By 2014, the Guam Museum will finally become a reality for the people of Guam. During Monday's Rotary Club of Northern Guam meeting, the Guam Museum Foundation presented its vision in developing the facility along with a campaign to get residents involved.

Administrator Leona Young said, "We would like everyone to know that there is a place in the museum for them and we're going to talk about the diversity of the Chamorro people and the people of Guam."

It's the Foundation's vision to build a world-class facility that is home to artifacts and historic documents. The museum has $27 million in funding, will be 50,000-square feet and located at Skinner's Plaza. Foundation chairman Monte Mesa meanwhile discussed challenges such as flood zone mitigation and getting legislative authority to use the government property.
