Fernandez continues school visits

Guam - New Department of Education superintendent Jon Fernandez continued his school visits this week. Schools were Okkodo High, Vicente Benavente Middle, Jose Rios Middle, JP Torres Alternative School, Ordot/Chalan Pago Elementary, Agueda Johnston, Inarajan Middle and Inarajan Elementary.

Fernandez says he's focused on getting a better sense of what is happening in the classroom by observing lessons, working with students to solve math or reading problems, and talking to them about why they are in school as well as about their hopes for the future.

Fernandez has 24 more schools to tour in the coming weeks.
