Guam - The Spending Cuts Task Force will be presenting its list of recommendations ready for implementation regarding how to cut $43 million from the General Fund on Monday to Governor Eddie Calvo. "What I would like to do from there is review it, look toward making final decisions on that, and hopefully by the time legislative hearings come, say the 25th, we'll be able to present legislation or other information to the Legislature so that we can move forward," said the governor.
Calvo had extended the original July 1 deadline to allow more input from all stakeholders during its education village meetings. The budget hearings meanwhile continue July 23 with the Department of Education and on July 25 with Bureau of Budget and Management Research.
