Guam - Committee Chair on Procurement and Government Operations, Vice Speaker BJ Cruz has called an Oversight Hearing for next Wednesday, 18 July 2012 to discuss the following:

The Enforcement of Public Law 30-93: AN ACT TO REPEAL §4301(g), AND TO REPEAL AND RE-ENACT §4302(g), OF CHAPTER 4, ARTICLE 3, TITLE 4, GUAM CODE ANNOTATED, RELATIVE TO REMOVING THE CONTINUING CLAUSE PROVISIONS TO HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANIES ON GUAM WHO CONTRACT WITH THE GOVERNMENT OF GUAM AND TO REQUIRE ALL COMPANIES OR OTHER LEGAL ENTITIES PROVIDING HEAL TH INSURANCE TO THE GOVERNMENT OF GUAM TO MAKE AVAILABLE ELECTRONICALLY DEINDENTIFIED DETAILED DEMOGRAPHIC, MEDICAL, DENTALS, VISIONS AND PHARMACY CLAIMS UTILIZATION AND COST INFORMATION SUBJECT TO MEETING HIPAA REGULATIONS

The Department of Administration will be called upon to answer questions on its enforcement or lack thereof of this public law. Next Wednesday's oversight hearing will be held at 10:00am in the Legislature's Public Hearing room.
