Guam - The Guam Preservation Trust met this afternoon to discover a slew of issues since meeting over two months ago. According to chief program officer Joe Quinata, the board discussed forming alliances with Asian and Pacific Islanders living in the United States, along with receiving new grants for archeological purposes.

He says the trust's biggest challenge, however, comes down to funding. "We want to rehabilitee and restore a lot of sights here on island with the help of the government, and with the help of the people we're able to overcome those challenges. But we take it one step at a time," he noted.

The Guam Preservation Trust is currently working on the $1,000,000 restoration of the Spanish Bridge in Agat, which is set to be completed by the end of this year. He adds about $30,000,000 worth of rehabilitation projects such as the Plaza De Espana, the Chocolate House and the Old Legislature Building have since completed documentation and review and awaits funding to move into the construction phase.
