Governor issues adopt-a-school directive

Guam - In preparation for the upcoming school year, Governor Eddie Calvo has issued a directive to all agencies of the Executive Branch to adopt a public school. Agency heads must develop a team of volunteers for painting, general cleaning, and yard work.
Calvo says he wants students to see school campuses better than when they left in June. Calvo adds he will grant administrative leave to employees who volunteer on a case-by-case basis. Already the Governor's Office has adopted J.Q. San Miguel Elementary School.
