Parole denied for convicted murderer Duenas
by Nick Delgado
Guam - The Guam Parole Board recently denied Anthony Duenas' request for release. Duenas is serving a life sentence for murdering his wife Melissa. Today marks the 28th anniversary since she was brutally murdered.
During a recent parole board hearing, the Quinata family submitted a petition with more than 1,900 signatures supporting their pleas to deny Duenas' bid for release.
This was the fifth time Duenas has asked to be released since he was sentenced to life behind bars in 1984.
He will not be eligible for parole for another year.
