Guam - A list of recommendations ready for implementation relative to Governor Eddie Calvo's directive to cut $43 million from the General Fund was originally due on July 1, but according to Governor Calvo, he's extending the deadline to get more input from all stakeholders.

"It's so important that we do this the right way and with that I'm giving my authority for an extension to the 15th so we can allow for these folks to compile this report so that it be provided to our administration for disposition," he said.

The Spending Cuts Task Force has been joining the Education Task Force and the Department of Education at its village outreach meetings to get more input on possible cuts and savings along with discussion of an early retirement plan.
