Bio:
Sinajana Mayoral candidate Robert D.C. Hofmann has lived in the village of Sinajana all of his life. He is the son of music teachers the late Albert Hofmann and Maria (Dela Cruz) Crisostomo (a.k.a. Cecilia) and his step-father is Joaquin Perez Crisostomo (Bejong). Robert is the brother of Edward & Alisa Hofmann and Norbert Hofmann. His step-siblings are Jimmy & Robertha C. Johnson, Doris Crisostomo, Raymond Crisostomo, Alvina & Francis Castro, Yolanda C. & Paul Flores, Lynn Crisostomo, Kenneth & Kimberly Crisostomo, and JeanAnn C. & Ian Frey. He is also the grandson of late Albert & Kreszenia Haberl Hofmann and the late Francisco "Paco" Muna Dela Cruz (Koho) & the late Carmen "Meling" Romualdez Dela Cruz.(Guam Academy of Music & Arts Founders) Robert and his fiance Jenee have two daughters.
His desire to make a difference helped him achieve success in the 2004 and 2008 election years, he has made changes that have made Sinajana a safer place to live, work and play. He eliminated the large debt left by his predecessors, streamlined operations, and renovated and repaired the multi-purpose court, baseball field, community center and other facilities. As Vice Mayor he was chosen to serve as a Board Member for the Guam Visitor's Bureau. He has Chaired Community Development Committee, and was the Chair of the Membership and Community Relations Committee. He also served as a Board Member on the University of Guam's Regent Nominating Council, the SPIMA Senior Citizens Advisory Committee- Discipline Council, The Tourism Education Council and is the President of Guma Mami Inc.
Over the past 15 years he has assisted, volunteered and worked with dozens of non-profit organizations and charities such as the Archdiocese of Agana, Guam Memorial Hospital Volunteers Association, the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army, the American Cancer Society, GGARP/SPIMA, Linala Sin Casino/Keep Guam Good, the Tourism Education Council, Guma Mami and numerous public and private organizations. Robert is also very involved in the parish community of St. Jude's where he serves as a Parish Council Member, a Youth Minister, a Choir/Band Director, a Liturgical Committee Member, Confirmation Teacher and a Knight of Columbus. He was also an Altar Server, Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and middle and high school CCD teacher over the past 19 years. His memberships and employment have helped him gain valuable experience in all areas to include both the Legislative and Executive Branches of the Government of Guam.
Robert has received numerous awards, recognitions, accolades and certificates for his contributions to our island's youth, manamko, the religious community and the community-at-large.
Robert D.C. Hofmann is hardworking, honest and fair. His years of experience in working with various Government of Guam agencies, combined with his youthful energy, unwavering determination and strong leadership skills, are the qualities that we need in our public servants.
Robert has been serving as Vice Mayor of Sinajana since he was elected to his first term in 2004 and was re-elected to a second term 2008. He is presently in his third term as the Vice President of the Mayors' Council of Guam.
