Buenas yan Håfa Adai!

My name is Chris Dueñas, and I'm humbly asking for your vote of confidence to be re-elected as a Senator in the 32nd Guam Legislature.

I understand the importance of fiscal responsibility, and will bring my experience in both private business ownership and government service management to improve the economic sustainability of Guam during the build up and beyond.

I want to develop a workforce that serves the needs of both employers and employees. I will work to develop programs that adequately train and educate residents who could then contribute to the island as skilled workers earning higher wages and creating stability in the working world. This type of training can mean the difference between finding a job and having a career, and could eventually lead to entrepreneurship; a positive cycle of supply and demand.

In my sixteen years of work in the private sector, I have successfully owned and operated businesses catering to our visitor industry. These experiences taught me the value of hard work, on-going training and business ownership. I want to use these skill sets to empower the people of Guam, so our community can capitalize on the opportunities to come.
As your Senator in the 31st Guam Legislature, I have introduced seventeen bills, of which twelve have been passed in session and signed into public law; one bill was withdrawn but it's purpose was achieved by Governor Calvo's Reorganization Advisory #5. These bills are all centered around three key issues: Protecting our natural resources, educational opportunities for our disadvantaged population, and economic development.
Please join me as I strive to create an environment conducive to growing new tourism markets, maximizing federal spending in order to increase government revenues, and helping us all to share economic prosperity on our island paradise.
I'm ready to contribute greatly to the advancement of Guam as your Senator again. Put me to work for our future, our sustainability and our island!
